Sue recently found this AMAZING Cynthia Rowley New York shower curtain spotted with numerous flowers in all the very vibrant colors of the rainbow and beyond. Red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple, pink, brown--yes, we indeed mean ALL the colors! Thus it became the basis and inspiration towards decorating our bathroom upstairs.
We understand why some of you may think this curtain is more appropriate for spring or summer. And that's totally fine! We made it work for fall by bringing out the autumn colors with matching towels and accessories, such as a floral arrangement, a potted plant, a rug, and gilded mirrors. You can easily use these same ideas for other seasons simply by selecting different colors.
Another small but neat aspect about this design comes from the wooden stems in our pot and the wicker basket holding a Kleenex box. Fall is all about celebrating nature, so these pieces lend a very rustic feel in a nod to the outdoors.
A final idea we encourage is to utilize as many items that you already own when decorating a room. It doesn't have to be a big production, nor does it need to be difficult, when making these changes. Small swaps and embellishes can still create a huge impact. Happy decorating!
