Easter & Spring 2019 Home Decor

Hi everyone! It's been quite some time since our last post but as usual, we have been so busy! Now that we've found some downtime on this rainy Thursday afternoon, we can't wait to show you the wonderful work Sue completed for our home for the spring season!

Since Easter is just around the corner, Sue went all out in utilizing bunny decorations, sparkly eggs, beautiful floral arrangements, and other knick-knacks in pastel hues. Two of her favorite finds include a large candle in the shape of a bunny's head from Goodwill (which we decided not to burn--it's just too cute!), as well as felt bunnies with cotton tails from Target that hang on the back of our kitchen stools.

Another fabulous score is the large painting above the dining room credenza that Sue received for her birthday. It's a lovely floral still life framed canvas that fits the very essence of spring. We also purchased this from Target and luckily there are still a few left in stock in the Chicagoland area; click here to see where to find it!

Sue's reminder to everyone to re-utilize old decor is as noteworthy as ever! Many of the flowers and ribbons have been used in the past for other holidays, but it was very easy to bring them back to life and create something new. Your decor doesn't have to match either! The two vases on the mantel are actually different from one another, but Sue still tied everything together by adding iridescent grass and a mix of bright colored flowers in each.
